Ngorongoro Crater Day Trip
- All Year Round
Description
Depart Arusha with picnic lunches for a visit of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, where you will descend 600 meters into the crater bottom. The world’s biggest intact volcanic caldera, Ngorongoro Crater, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If that isn’t enough, it is one of the few spots where you can see all five of the Big Five in a single day (if you’re lucky!). Zebras, Warthogs, Wildebeests, Hyenas, Jackals, Cheetahs, Elands, Gazelles, and Hippos are among the other animals found here. There is also an abundance of birdlife, including Pelicans, Flamingos, Crowned Cranes, Fire Finches, and Kori Bustard Geese. After the crater tour, you will mount the crater walls and travel back to Arusha for supper and an overnight stay at your hotel in the late afternoon.
