LET'S START PLANNING

Description

Pack your bags and come to Tanzania for a 4-day Wildlife Tanzania adventure! You will go on long game drives in Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater throughout your safari, giving you the chance to see wildlife in their native habitat and discover Tanzania’s great national parks.

Itinerary

Today we will depart from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi for a game drive in Lake Manyara national park, where we will stop for a picnic lunch in the afternoon. We’ll continue our game drive after lunch until dark, when we’ll leave the park and drive to our lodge/campsite for dinner and the night.

This national park, which is located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment, is one of Tanzania’s most stunning wildlife regions, consisting of a vast but shallow soda lake (which covers two-thirds of the park). The park’s diverse habitat draws a wide range of species, including one of Africa’s greatest populations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s distinctive tree-climbing lions, and vast flocks of flamingos drawn to the lake’s algae.

After breakfast, we drive to the Serengeti National Park, passing via Karatu’s picturesque highland farms and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We leave the highlands behind and descend into the Serengeti National Park, the heart of untamed Africa, with its vast grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see. We travel to the Seronera area of the central park, one of the park’s finest wildlife habitats, which includes the Seronera River, which serves as a vital water source for the area and hence draws wildlife that is representative of the Serengeti’s species.
We arrive in time for lunch and take a wildlife drive in the Serengeti National Park in the afternoon.

Dinner and stay in the Seronera area, according to the requested standard and kind of accommodation.

Those who have booked hot air balloon safaris for today will be picked up at 5:00 a.m. from their lodge/camp for 6:00 a.m. departures. Following your 90-minute aerial experience bush breakfast and champagne, you will return to our lodge/camp for brunch, collect your belongings, and be driven to the Ngorongoro crater rim/Karatu for supper and overnight.

Optionally

We might have stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois
and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.

For a half-day safari tour, you will descend 600 meters into the crater to see wildlife. The Ngorongoro National Park sustains a diverse range of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and enormous African elephants, thanks to year-round water and feed. Another significant lure to this scenic refuge is its rich population of predators, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which can be difficult to spot even with a trained eye. We’ll go to Lake Magadi, a big but shallow alkaline lake in the crater’s southwest corner that is one of the crater’s most prominent features. It is common to witness a huge number of flamingos, hippos, and other aquatic birds here.

After a game drive, we’ll drive up the crater and back to your accommodation in Arusha/Moshi for supper and an overnight stay.
