Frequently Asked Questions

A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking and balance at least 30 days before the tour begins.

 

Up 21 days prior to commencement of arrangements the payment will be refunded less a nominal charge. cancellation less than 21 days will incur varying charges up to a maximum of 50% of the cost of the arrangements. They take effect from the day we receive cancellation in writing.

 

In the unfortunate even that we have to cancel a safari, we will return all monies paid or offer alternative services of comparable standards.

 

Please keep these with you at all times. Safety deposit facilities are available at most accommodations.

 

While on safari one piece of baggage is permitted per person, plus the hand rucksack. All excess baggage is advised to be left behind with us/hotel or lodge until the end of tour/safari then it will be given back to you.

 

Prices are based on double / single occupancy. Single rooms on safari cannot always be guaranteed due to limited space. Should an accommodation fall to provide single occupancy despite payment of supplement, the applicable amount is refundable. Accommodations are listed in preferred sequence. They range from modern hotels/lodges/resorts/luxury tented camps/normal campsites. Most have private bathrooms and swimming pools and all have full restaurant and bar facilities.

 

The sequences and accommodation of all itineraries is normally adhered to but we reserve the right to make alterations enforced by whether, roadwork’s, high season congestion or other causes. Any delays caused by natural calamities i.e. whether condition, road blocks etc. will not be the liability of the company.

 

“LEM CARNIVORES TOURS” and its agents act only as agents of the client in all matters relating to accommodation, sightseeing, excursions, tours and all forms of transport. The company cannot accept any responsibility for default whether negligent or otherwise on the part of any of the services or accommodations with which the booking is made or which clients arrange themselves, nor is it not liable for clients additional expenses occasioned by their delay, alterations of travel services, sickness, injuries or as a result of weather, civil disturbance whatsoever interfering with, interrupting, altering or adding to the cost of services, excursions or tours applied for and booked.

The company’s liability to passengers carried in vehicles as used for transfers, excursions and tours is governed by the laws of Tanzania, Zanzibar and Kenya and all claims are subject only to the courts of the nations concerned.

The company reserves the right to employ sub-contractors and in the event to such exercise of such right the terms of clause (a) relating to the Company’s liability shall apply.

Whilst every care is taken the Company cannot be responsible for loss or damage to personal property and it is advisable to arrange relevant insurance.

These include all expenses connected with vehicle and driver /guide, sightseeing as indicated in itineraries, entrance fees to the places to be visited, accommodations, service charges, government taxes, bed and the breakfast, half board, full board accommodations. Prices exclude the cost of passport, visa, health documents gratuities, laundry, drinks and other personal items, Airport landing and departure fees. All prices are subject to change without notice in advance based on increased rates and / or fluctuation in foreign currency and oil prices etc.
