Tanzania Honeymoon Safari and Zanzibar Honeymoon
Description
Tanzania Honeymoon is a one-of-a-kind honeymoon experience. Honeymoon time comes only once in a lifetime for many people, and Tanzania is increasingly a popular choice among newlyweds who want to spend their honeymoon in Africa. This is not by chance; Tanzania, with its several hot areas for wildlife safaris and the Indian Ocean Islands, is the place to visit for anyone looking for an amazing African honeymoon.
This 12-day honeymoon package is a typical example of a Tanzania honeymoon package, and it may be tailored to be shorter or longer based on your time and budget. The Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park are among the most notable parks in Northern Tanzania visited on this tour. After touring Tanzania’s most prominent parks, your Tanzania honeymoon will conclude with a journey to Zanzibar, where you will spend quality time relaxing on the famed island’s gorgeous white sand beaches.
Itinerary
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will greet you and assist you into a waiting car for your transport to the Mount Meru Game Lodge in Arusha. At the resort, our representative will give you a brief safari briefing before leaving you to rest and enjoy dinner.
On the second day of your tour you have breakfast in the morning and leave for Arusha town where you will do some shopping if you wish and also have a chance to change some money to get local currencies which may be useful at the lodges/tented camps especially for tipping and paying extras. You will then drive to through the Masai steppe, and into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Here you will register at the park gate and go for a short game drive before driving to the lodge/tented camp for hot lunch. You will then relax until later in the afternoon when you go to the park again for a sunset game drive. This beautiful national park is popular for tits evergreen forests that harbor among other animals; elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, gazelles and many others. More legendary here are the tree climbing lions and if you are lucky you will spot them as well. At the lake you will have an eye feast of aquatic birds like flamingos, pelicans , little grebes, Egyptian geese etc. Late in the afternoon before dark you return to the lodge for a shower, dinner and overnight. Overnight at the Farm House Valley Lodge at Karatu. All meals included.
We get up early this morning and leave after breakfast for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s oldest and largest park. We’ll make a quick detour at Olduvai Gorge, where Dr. Louise and his wife Mary Leakey discovered the Australopithecus Boisei, the oldest known human fossil. Scientists believe that Africa is the cradle of mankind as a result of this discovery. We enter Serengeti by the Naabi Hill gate, and once there, we proceed on wildlife drives with a picnic lunch along the way. The Serengeti plains are home to a wide range of large and small animals, as well as numerous bird species. Zebras, elephants, baboons, impalas, topis, buffaloes, and freshly introduced black rhinos are among the creatures present. Later in the afternoon, you’ll arrive to the lodge, where you’ll spend the evening relaxing. For a luxurious ‘out of Africa’ experience, stay at Kisura Serengeti Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Your Tanzania and Zanzibar Honeymoon continues…. and on this day you may decide to do an early morning game drive at day break or relax until after breakfast. After all you are on holiday. Either way you may decide after breakfast you may go for game drives in the Serengeti plains and depending on the time of the year you may go watching the Great Migration of the wildebeests. You may choose to carry a lunch box with you or do a morning session of game drives then relax at your lodge/tented camp for the afternoon. A sunset game drive is a nice way to wind up this day, or go for a walking safari if residing outside the park. Diner and overnight at Kisura Serengeti Camp.
We’re going to the world’s largest caldera, which holds the world’s highest concentration of animals within its 600-meter-deep walls, so we’re getting up early this morning. We drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after breakfast, and it is on our way back. We re-enter the conservation area through the Naabi Hill Gate, and following some registration formalities at the Descent point, we descend the spectacular road to the floor of this world-renowned ‘world heritage site’ that was proclaimed by the United Nations body UNESCO. Once we arrive to the Crater, we will go on a fantastic wildlife drive followed by a picnic lunch at the hippo pool picnic location. This is the only area where you can practically guarantee seeing all five of the Big Five in one day. Hyenas, silver-backed jackals, elands, hartebeests, wildebeests, gazelles, impalas, and unusual ungulates such as long-necked gerenuks are among the other creatures. We climb up the Crater walls later in the afternoon because no lodges or tented camps are permitted in the Crater. Dinner and stay will be at Karatu’s Endoro Lodge.
After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, take advantage of a fully paid gratis treatment at the Massage Spa if desired, before departing for Arusha, where you will board your aircraft to Zanzibar. When you arrive, our representative will greet you and transport you to the beach hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay at the Pongwe Beach Hotel on Zanzibar’s beaches.
You’ll spend these days at the beach, either relaxing or participating in one of the resort’s many water activities. Dinner and overnight at the Pongwe Beach Hotel, which is located on the gorgeous Pongwe beach line, which has been named one of Zanzibar’s and the world’s best beaches.
